Find a tool online that you and your employees can use to calculate statutory redundancy pay quickly and easily.
By looking up an employee's age on the vertical column, and their years of service on the horizontal column, you can see the multiple to apply to the employee's weekly pay in order to arrive at the employee's entitlement to statutory redundancy pay.
The weekly pay taken into account is capped. The cap changed from £380 per week to £400 per week for redundancies made on or after 1 February 2011.
At the same time, the maximum basic award for unfair dismissal increases from £11,400 to £12,000 for dismissals on or after 1 February, and the maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal from £65,300 to £68,400.
